What is PFMS (Public Financial Management System)?

PFMS is a Public Financial Management System. It is a web-based service mainly used to track the different scholarship schemes. PMFS was formerly known as CPSMS when it was started in the year 2008-09.

The main objective of PFMS is to track funds released under the Plan schemes of the Government of India.

PFMS is responsible for connecting the 28 States and 2 Union Territories with their respective treasury systems, as well as their corresponding legislatures. This simplifies communication regarding budget, allocation, and expenditure for Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the Government of India.

The PFMS is connected with the Core Banking System of over 300 banks, including all public sector banks as well as regional rural banks, Union Bank of India, India Post, major private sector banks, and Cooperative Banks. Scholarship for College and University Students is given to those students who have passed their 12th (Class XII senior secondary examination) and are in the top 20%. 41000 Girls and 82000 Boys are selected from each State Board. The needs to renew the scholarship every year. Students pursuing Graduation and Post-Graduation can enjoy the benefit.

Eligibility and Benefits of Scholarship to Universities / College Students

Eligibility	1. The candidates should be in the top 20% in the senior secondary examination (Class XII). 2. The age of the students should be 18-25 years. 3. Family / Parental Income should be less than Rs.6 lakh per year.
Benefits	1. Scholarship at graduation level is Rs. 1000/- for the first three years of college and university courses. 2. The Scholarship at the Post-Graduation level is Rs. 2000 per month. 3. In the fourth and fifth year, students pursuing professional courses receive Rs. 2000/- per month. 4.The scholarships will be paid for 10 months in an academic year.

Details of PFMS National Scheme for Incentive for the Girl Child for Secondary Education

All SC/ST Girl Child Passing Class IX and all passing Class VIII from KGBV are eligible for NSIGC. National Scheme for Incentive for the Girl Child for Secondary Education is given by the Dept of Elementary Education(HRD). The duration of this scholarship is of 2 years. Govt, Local Body, and Govt Aided Schools are eligible for this benefit.

Eligibility and Benefits of National Scheme for Incentive for the Girl Child for Secondary Education (NSIGC)

Scheme Administration Department	Dept of Elementary Education (HRD).
Eligibility	1. All SC/ST Girl Child Passing Class IX and all passing  Class VIII from KGBV are eligible for NSIGC. 2. Govt, Local Body, and Govt Aided Schools are eligible for this benefit.
Benefits	1. Rs. 3000 is given once as a benefit to SC / ST Girl Childs. Note: Amount paid after reaching the age of 18 and 2 years of schooling in the IX and passing the X Class examination. The benefits will be Forfeited if the condition is not fulfilled.

Details of National Means cum Merit Scholarship

The NMMS is also given by the Dept of Elementary Education (HRD). Class VIII students (55% for General and 50% for SC / ST) can apply for this scheme. The candidates have to clear State Level Exam in Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The duration of this scheme is for 4 years. The students can only take one scholarship and are not involved in part-time or full-time employment.

Eligibility and Benefits of National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS)

Scheme Administration Department	Dept of Elementary Education (HRD).
Eligibility	1. The candidates have to clear State Level Exam in Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). 2. Class VIII students (55% for General and 50% for SC / ST) can apply for this scheme. 3. The students will have to score 55% in 9th and 60% in 10th (relaxation of 5% for SC / ST) if they want the benefits to continue. 4. Government, Local Body, and Govt Aided Schools are only eligible. Note: In the event of a gap of one session, the scheme will be discontinued.
Benefits	Rs. 6,000 will be given per year or Rs, 1,500 will be given Quarterly for four years.

Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (PMS-SC) is given by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Through States /UT and Head of Institution. The students who have passed their Class Xth (SC Students) are eligible for this scheme.
